Talking to a girl you like can seem very daunting, but it's actually not that difficult. And for beta-types it is very easy. Here are a few tips:

1. Ask her questions. Girls love sharing information about themselves. Don't be afraid to ask her questions. If someone interests you about the girl you're talking to (let's say her necklace or job) ask her something about it.

2. Find out what she likes and focus on that. Once you ask her questions, try to hone in on her interests. Does she like psychology or astrology or writing? Does she sing or play an instrument? Does she play a sport or activity? Find these out and center your conversation on these things.

3. Focus on your similarities. If you focus on your similarities, this makes the conversation much more smooth and shows that you're interested, too. If you agree with her about something, tell her you agree and keep talking about it. This creates momentum. Both of you should be saying, "Yes" or "Me, too!" a lot in the conversation.

4. Don't take things too seriously. Always be joking and playful when talking. Never take anything she says or you say seriously. Girls are very self-conscious and self-critical -- they tend to avoid people who make them feel more self-conscious and critical. The less serious you are, the more girls will want to be around you.
