This was always difficult for me when I went on a date because lots of thoughts get pushed out of my head to make room for more as the girl is talking. The most difficult part is registering what she is saying and remembering it later. From what I hear us guys don't listen enough, so this should help us out as a whole...
Try to not be too blatant, but here is a simple example...
Guy: What's your favorite food?
Girl: Hmmm, I love Crab legs haha!
~more talking~
Guy: ~5 minutes later~ So Since you like crab so much maybe we should go to Red Lobster sometime?
Girl: Yeah sure!
Just repeat what she tells you
(that she likes crab legs *btw, I know its a lame example*) and put it into your own sentence and structure... this not only tells her that you are listening, but are interested as well!
